    Hi there....

I have been checking out this site and the message boards for a while now and have decided to contribute a few things.
Everyone is always talking about lifting licks and chops..thats cool....trust me...I did my share of lifting everyone from Accuna to Zoro...but nooe talks about lifting a groove anymore. Chops and licks are great but the groove is what gets you hired and keeping the pocket, feel and vibe keeps the calls coming. Here are a few grooves to lift and forget about how fast you can play em...try to play em with the same feel and intensity as the other drummers have...or drum programmers...
    1) The time - 777-9311 (good luck on this one...lol..Its done on a Linn drummachine but it can be done)
    2) The Jacksons - Shake your body down to the ground (groove with tom overdubs...watch out for the HH)

Ok.....thats enough for now...I will try to post some old clinics I have and maybe even some shows but that will be later...

    Have a good one...

    Welcome ntbCreative!
Nice of you to join the board. While there is a focus on chops here, groove is definately not something that is neglected! You'll find in almost every thread where a drummer's playing is analyzed, there's a discussion about groove - or lack of it. That being said, thanks for your contribution. I'll check this stuff out soon!
